THE ZEROES
"The Adventures Of Lola Montez"
The Zeroes are:
"...Latino Punks. Live, we play indie and punk covers plus our own songs, which include ‘Angelina’ (about
a girl from Argentina of course), ‘Just Like Wham!’ (about growing up in the 80s: look up the video on
YouTube), ‘Catalina’ (about the cleaner from ‘My Name is Earl’) and the beautiful ballad ‘Does This
Mean That We’re Not Going Out And You Don’t Want Me?’. Ginge and Dunc were in a band (Bananas on tha
Moon) together when they were at school. Tom is from Ireland. We like Ash, The Muffs, The Cure, The
Subways, Blondie and Green Day. We cover ‘Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps’ by Doris Day. Ginge used to have a
Morris Minor. We play most of the local music boozers especially the Cuba in New Bradwell. Dunc has a
dog called Fran Healy that used to be called Nasty. We have an occasional fourth member, Marky Zero, who
lives in Cornwall but sometimes joins us on bass, guitar and even keyboards. Our favourite outdoor summer
gig is the ‘Bradfest’ in the bottom rec’, which we headline most years. We are all incredibly handsome but
we hide it well." |
